Videoconference with Konstantin Kondakov

On February 3, in the press studio of the Segodnya.ua website was held a video interview with Konstantin Kondakov, director of the KONDAKOV Asset Management company and the founder of the International Charity Foundation.

The conference took place within the XVIII national program Person of the Year-2013. Nomination the Philanthropist of the Year.

Information: Konstantin Kondakov is a representative of a new generation of businessmen who are betting on knowledge and innovation technologies. Nowadays he’s a successful financial analyst, businessman, author of several books and philanthropist. He is respected by financial experts not only in the CIS, but also far beyond.

Mr. Kondakov honestly and openly answered numerous questions from the audience related to his charity work. During the interview, he also spoke about his life and his motivations in decisions making.

My foundation is my expression in this world. This is the most important thing. And money is only the material resources that help to do what we do. I found the organization in 2005, at that time I had no money. In fact, the desire to give money came before money itself. And before that came the realization that money is not the point. – began the guest of the studio. He also said that the cognition of the spiritual world lies in the beginning of understanding that it is necessary to engage in charity.

Then Konstantin Georgievich accessible spoke about the main activities of the charity foundation: There are various programs of the foundation. We wanted them to have the most profound impact on the world. Each of our projects covers all the bases. Each of our programs involves deep spiritual values of people and is aimed at reanimation of lost spiritual knowledge, such as respect for elders, friendship, positive outlook and healthy lifestyle. We want to help people, and most importantly, firstly give them a right of choice.

The guest also said that it is not difficult to do charity work in Ukraine; the main thing is to systematize work and have a clear plan of action: We developed the criterion for projects assessment. Of course there are selection criteria for estimation of efficiency of the proposed project: how many people will be involved, what social effect will be achieved, how realistic is the cost sheet submitted for funding, which is very important for Ukraine (since charity is often used as a way for earnings).

Viewers of the videoconference knew that Konstantin Georgievich personally devoted much time to creation of the foundation. This charity organization became a collective project, which absorbed all the best that have other foundations. Including correct interpretation of ideas, methodology of evaluation of projects, etc. Plus, to all that were added projects and activities that are unique to Ukraine.

On the question, What are the main qualities of a philanthropist? – Konstantin Kondakov said that it is honesty, because without it is difficult to spend money for good things. Then he said that the basic spiritual qualities he believes in are: friendliness, ability to forgive and ability to love. He also noted that everyone should learn to love this world and constantly work on themselves.
