Wide-open talk about the charity in Ukraine

Recently in Kyiv, the first open discussion was held between the leaders of national charity organizations and the public activists and the media, as part of a new project of the Konstantin Kondakov ICF “BlagoLaunch”. Pilot discussion club was on actual topic: “Charity organizations: activity realities in Ukraine”. More than three hours in a professional atmosphere the philanthropists discussed modern conditions of benefactors’ function, advantages of joint social projects, as well as future prospects for the development of philanthropy in Ukraine.

Among the main speakers of the day were: Natalia Kolesnik, the president of the Konstantin Kondakov ICF; Alexander Maksymchuk, the president of the ACO “Association of Philanthropists Ukraine”; Vitaly Manko, the member of the board AF “Tomorrow”. The event was broadcasted live through the channel on YouTube.

Irina Gutsal, Maryna Krysa, Ruslan Bahtyyev, Valentin Desyatnik, Konstantin Holubyatnikov, Natalia Shelvynska, Dmitry Chupryna and others actively participated in the discussion.

In addition, the meeting discussed the features of implementation of national projects, cooperation with state authorities. Charity sector representatives talked about the interaction with the press and how to announce a large charitable projects. An extra topic for a talk was the need for legislative changes.

As a result, participants of the meeting agreed on the joint coordination to solve the most pressing issues – providing constructive suggestions for legislative changes, closer cooperation with the media, encouraging the growth of the culture of philanthropy in society and so on.
