Water Secrets

As a part of the Road to Life for Every Child program and the Good Cause Every Day! promo event we continue the educational seminars for multi-child families together with the Merry Science trainers. A Professor Teorema introduced Hanin and Mogylny families to … H2O! The children could not even imagine how many unexpected properties plain water has. For example, they have learned how to carry “water in a sieve”, found out what “surface tension” is and also discovered the amazing tricks which can be done with an ordinary glass of water and sunflower oil.

Of course, Professor Teorema would never let children without gifts. But as we always do – gifts and crafts we make with our own hands. To do this, the master showed the unusual “ebru” technique  – drawing on the water surface. It is surprising, but all that was needed – a bowl of water and nail polish. Due to their chemical properties and certain manipulations, nail polish on water turns into a beautiful picture, which can be easily transferred to the cloth, paper or even glass.

Thus, multi-child families did not only acquire new knowledge about water, but also the wonderful vases, decorated with their own hands. For us it is important to combine science and art, as with love in our hearts we are building a new world!
