Kitchen Experiments for Kids
Do not know how to entertain your kids during the summer holidays? Come to the fun and educational workshops of the Konstantin Kondakov Charity Foundation and spend useful time with your children! Our Charity Foundation invited a large Arsentievy family to visit a master class in chemistry as a part of the Road to Life for Every Child program and the Good Cause Every Day! promo event. The workshop was held not in the laboratory, but in a usual kitchen! The partner of the Foundation in this event was Vesela nauka laboratory of research activities.
Talented and attentive teacher – a Professor Snowflake – showed kitchen experiments for the kids. The children immediately liked their teacher because of her bright image and merry character.
Having got acquainted with the young chemists, the host gave everyone all the necessary “reagents” for the kitchen experiments: eggs, milk, juice, vinegar, baking soda, sunflower oil, fruits and vegetables. The workshop started in a very unusual way – the children learned how to cook edible frog scrambled eggs. It turns out that when we add the juice of purple cabbage to the usual raw eggs, the scrambled eggs will be bright green. Then the host showed the children how to have fun and do harmless experiments with milk and juices. Also everyone liked to draw with invisible ink and make a fruit battery.
With a great interest children made experiments in the kitchen under the guidance of an experienced teacher. At the end of the workshop the Professor Snowflake showed to the children from a large Arsentievy family another trick – self-inflating balloons. So the Professor Snowflake proved that science is the most exciting and funny way of learning the secrets of nature and the world. Taking part in the kitchen experiments, each of the multi-child Arsentievy family felt like a real cook-investigator.
