The Rozkryllya Dushі Literary Competition

On March 5 the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine national center held on the final of the Ukrainian literary contest Rozkryllya Dushіdedicated to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. Within theRevival of Cultural and Moral Values program the Konstantin Kondakov International Charity Foundation became a partner of the event. The contest lasted eight months and was divided into two categories: research work (the object of study is a publicism of Shevchenko) and his literary works (poetry, essay and sketch).

Organizers of the event note that while participating in the competition the children studied artistic legacy of Taras Shevchenko and had the opportunity to realize their research potential in the field of literacy. The Rozkryllya Dushi contest is intended to educate younger generation to respect the language and traditions of our nation, to raise the level of language education in Ukraine.

During the finals of the literary contest, which took place on the territory of Mystetsky Arsenal art gallery, to the guests of the event was presented a scientific and educational web-portal Taras Shevchenko. The unique web resource was created for the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. The project was initiated by the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The portal was created by scientists, lawyers, programmers, museum workers, designers, students, etc.

The winners were awarded with diplomas by the MAS national centre and different valuable gifts. In particular, the Konstantin Kondakov International Charity Foundation presented to the young specialist in literature sets of towels, as well as the unique author’s t-shirts designed specially for the 200th anniversary of genius poet. The organizers promised to publish the best creative works of students.
