Decoration of Gingerbread House
Gingerbread house is not only a decoration of festive table, but also a fun for all kids. The Konstantin Kondakov Charity Foundation decided to share a wonderful invention of culinary arts with the kids from a multi-child Kostenko family. In the framework of the Good Cause Every Day! promo event the children visited the tasty workshop in the Chasopis cafe where they learned how to create fabulous gingerbread houses. Anastasia who was a teacher on the culinary lesson prepared edible pieces for the future buildings.
The details for the houses were made of special honey dough. The children at once felt the pleasant aroma of honey and spices emanating from the dough.
In the friendly atmosphere the master explained and showed all the details of the process of building the houses. The edible parts of the houses the young guests joined with a special sweet “glue” that consisted of powdered sugar and citric acid.
The “building materials” were so tasty that almost all the kids tried them before use in the constructions.
For the decoration of the walls and roofs the master had a variety of beads and stars. Every house appeared to be as unique, as the imagination allowed.
During the workshop Anastasia entertained the children with the fabulous legends and folk sayings about gingerbread houses.
Each child received a personal eatable masterpiece! Such crafts can be stored longer than six months, but practice shows that kids usually can’t wait for so long.
The representatives of the Konstantin Kondakov Charity Foundation gave another memorable day to the children from the multi-child family. For this with love in our hearts we are building a new world!
