Workshop on Marzipan Sculpting
Everyone has heard the mysterious title marzipan, but not all of us have imagined what means this German word. Marzipan — very tasty and healthy edible “plasticine” made of powdered almonds. The main advantage of this product – original delicate taste and preservation of all useful substances inherent to natural almonds. As a part of the Road to Life for Every Child program and the Good Cause Every Day! promo event the Konstantin Kondakov Charity Foundation organized a creative lesson on marzipan sculpting for large families Kovalenko and Plohih.
The teacher Anastasia told the children that flexible marzipan allows to sculpt any figurines of it, even the most complicated. All the children were able to express their imagination and make wonderful handmade edible figurines: bee, roses, watermelon, sun, caterpillar, space system and many others. Maxim Kovalenko was so pleased to sculpt from marzipan that from sweet “plasticine” he laid out the word Happy.
The smallest guest of the workshop 3-year-old Alex did not keep up with the older guys. With the help of his mother the boy made clown-fish from the cartoon Finding Nemo.
Kids took home handmade figurines to decorate with them their mother’s cakes or just to eat them. The children enjoyed the “sweet” lesson of sculpting, and the parents were able to spend leisure time with their children. For these memorable moments with love in our hearts we are building a new world!
