Amazing Bas-Reliefs with Children’s Hands

Clay modelling is a work that does not require special knowledge and conditions. At the same time, working with plastic material relaxes, reduces stress and develops fine motor skills. Creation from a shapeless mass a wonderful handmade panels improves imagination and gives every child a good mood. As a part of the Good Cause Every Day! promo event the Konstantin Kondakov Charity Foundation invited the children from the Makhovy family-type orphanage to the entertaining workshop. Under the guidance of a practicing decorator the children with their own hands made a Parrot clay panel.

During the creative lesson the children learned a lot of useful information about the material with which they worked. The teacher told the little guests that they should wet the clay with water. Having the experience of modelling from plasticine all the guys started to knead the clay pieces in their palms.

All the kids were really interested in the creative process! Even the youngest representatives of the Makhovy family quickly and skilfully grew familiar with the technique of creating a bas-relief.

Every child made a funny bird in his or her own style. Clay modelling was so exhilarating experience that no one even noticed that the workshop came to the end.

The boys and girls went home in high spirits and with lovely gifts for their friends!

The art lesson brought the children from the Makhovy family-type orphanage a lot of smiles. After all, with love in our hearts we are building a new world!
